1 1/2 cups of whole flax seeds
1/2 cup ground flax seed
2 1/2 cups filtered water
1 cup red pepper finely chopped &/or sun dried tomatoes
1/2 cup fresh herbs, finely chopped
2 TB lemon juice
1 TB Shoyu or Himalayan salt to taste
Place seeds in a large mixing bowl and soak in 2 1/2 cups of water for at least 1 hour or until all the liquid is absorbed and the seeds are gelatinous.
Add red peppers, herbs, lemon juice, salt/shoyu to flax seeds mix thoroughly . Spread batter thinly and evenly on Teflex-lined dehydrator trays, and dehydrate at 115*F for 6 hours. Flip over, remove Teflex, and continue dehydrating for at least another 6 hours. Remove from dehydrator, cut or break into crackers. Store in air tight container at room temp. for 1 or 2 weeks.
Variation: Add garlic, spring onion, kale, broccoli, spinach or exchange savory flavors for sweet by adding dried fruit and spices of your choice
